Bhubaneswar: DGP Vinaytosh Mishra on Tuesday said Dussehra is being celebrated across the state with peace and order and expressed hope that the immersion processions will also conclude peacefully.
Mishra said a massive police force has been deployed at immersion sites including Cuttack and in sensitive areas. There is a complete ban on DJs during the festival and strict action will be taken against those bringing modified vehicles, he said.
The DGP thanked all puja committees and the general public for cooperating with police. He said police had requested all puja committees not to hire DJs during Puja or immersion festivals and all committees have agreed to it.
