Bhubaneswar: Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture And Farmers’ Empowerment, Energy, Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj, on Monday.
The Deputy Chief Minister dipped into the sacred water seven times, symbolizing the seven realms (Saptalok), which are believed to be represented by the seven chakras in the human body.
During the ritual, he prayed for the happiness and well-being of the people of Odisha. He also asked for protection from natural disasters and wished for peace and development in every village across the state.
The Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj is considered one of the holiest places in India and is believed to offer liberation (moksha) to those who visit.
The Deputy Chief Minister was accompanied by his wife, Sangeeta Kumari Singh Deo and his daughter, Nivritti Kumari Mewar. Together, they offered prayers and took the sacred dip during the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela.
