Bhubaneswar: Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Wednesday met the 15-year-old girl from Balanga in Puri district who is currently undergoing treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.
The teenager sustained critical burn injuries after being allegedly set on fire by three unidentified miscreants while returning home from a friend’s house in the Balanga area on July 19.
Parida, interacted with the victim’s family members and held discussions with the medical team and specialists regarding her current condition and treatment plan.
Taking to social media platform X, the Deputy Chief Minister stated, “I met the patient from Balanga, under my constituency, who is undergoing treatment at AIIMS, Delhi. I also met her family and relatives. During this visit, I discussed her health condition and the treatment to be done in the coming days with the medical team and specialists. May she recover soon — this is my prayer to the Almighty.”
