Bhubaneswar: Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida inaugurated two luxury 40-seater cruise boats, Lake Queen and Diamond Princess, on Saturday under the ‘Coastal Circuit Barkul Vikas of Swadesh Darshan Yojana.’
According to an official press release, the cruise boats have been equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including air-conditioned cabins and on-board food services, ensuring a comfortable and memorable experience for tourists.
Speaking at the event, the Deputy Chief Minister emphasized the growing global demand for cruise tourism and highlighted Odisha’s potential in this sector. She noted that the launch of these cruises would enhance tourism in the state and attract more visitors. “Tourists can enjoy the breathtaking views of Kalijai Island and the Nalabana Bird Sanctuary during their journey,” she added.
Parida also reiterated the government’s commitment to developing tourism infrastructure to further boost Odisha’s appeal as a prime tourist destination.
The event was graced by the presence of the Minister of Law, Works, and Excise, Prithviraj Harichandan, among other dignitaries.
