Bhubaneswar: The body of a 4-year-old girl was recovered from an under-construction building at Digapahandi in Ganjam district. The incident falls within the Pattapur police limits.
Although the exact cause of death is yet to be determined, the family members have alleged that the minor girl was subjected to rape before being murdered.
The girl had gone missing on Friday. Her family members launched a desperate search for the girl. After the victim’s family members failed to trace her, they approached the police for assistance.
Based on the family’s complaint, the Pattapur police initiated an investigation and subsequently discovered the girl’s body in the under-construction building.
Further investigation is currently underway to determine the circumstances surrounding her death.
