Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has announced an allocation of Rs 10 crore for the development of the Baba Akhandalamani Temple at Aradi in Bhadrak district.

This was announced by Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Wednesday, on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri.

Earlier in the day, Deputy CM Pravati Parida, Minister of Literature & Culture Suryabanshi Suraj, Bhadrak MLA Sitansu Sekhar Mohapatra, and Bhadrak Collector Dilip Routray visited the temple and offered their prayers.

Speaking to the media after the rituals, Parida expressed her gratitude for having the opportunity to visit the temple.

“I prayed to Baba Akhandalamani for strength, peace, and prosperity for the people of Bhadrak district and the entire state,” she said.

The Deputy Chief Minister also shared that the Tourism Department will provide Rs 10 crore for the temple’s development and surrounding areas.

“We are starting with Rs 10 crore, but if more money is needed, the government will provide it for the complete development of this sacred site,” she added.

Expressing gratitude, Minister Suryabanshi Suraj thanked the Deputy CM for the announcement and assured that the state government would take all necessary steps for the temple’s upliftment.
