Bhubaneswar: Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida joined several social events in Puri district to make Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday memorable. The events included a cleanliness drive, Deepa Dana, and plantation, among others.

Parida started the day by participating in the ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ program at Ward No. 9 of Nimapada NAC, where she joined the local people in a cleanliness drive. She emphasised the importance of keeping the environment clean and appreciated the street play organised by local artists on cleanliness.

She then distributed three-wheelers to the Divyangs at the Nimapada Panchayat Samiti office. Parida also participated in the ‘Sustha Nari – Sashakta Parivar’ campaign program at the Community Health Centre in Charichhak, which aims to organise expert camps with awareness related to women’s health.

On the occasion, she highlighted the importance of women’s health and the role of the campaign in reaching every block, panchayat, and village in Odisha. Health workers and sanitation workers were felicitated during the program.

Later, Parida lit an earthen lamp at the famous Shakti Peetha of Kakatpur Goddess Mangala temple and wished Prime Minister Modi a long life on his 75th birthday. She also participated in the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ programme organised by the Department of Forest, Environment and Climate Change at Maa Mangala College campus in Kakatpur, where she planted a tree to commemorate Modi’s special day.

During the event, Subhadra beneficiaries thanked Prime Minister Modi for launching the ‘Subhadra’ scheme, and Parida expressed her gratitude to the Prime Minister for his guidance and initiatives.
