Baragada: Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo on Thursday participated in the Sri Gundicha Rath Yatra Mahotsav 2026 organised at Kathdera in Baragada district and joined devotees in the religious celebrations.
During the visit, the Deputy Chief Minister had the darshan of Lord Jagannath and offered prayers, seeking the blessings of Mahaprabhu for the well-being and prosperity of the people.
Baragada MLA Ashwini Kumar Sarangi, Bhatali MLA Irasish Acharya and Atabira MLA Nihar Ranjan Mahanand accompanied the Deputy Chief Minister during the event.
The Rath Yatra witnessed a massive turnout of devotees, with local residents participating in large numbers. The celebrations were marked by devotional fervour and enthusiasm, reflecting the deep cultural and spiritual significance of the annual festival in the region.
Speaking about the occasion, Singh Deo said he was fortunate to participate in the Sri Gundicha Rath Yatra and receive the blessings of Lord Jagannath while joining devotees in the sacred festivities.
