ECI Directs For Appropriate Action Against IPS Officer Ashish Singh

Bhubaneswar: The Election Commission of India (ECI) after perusing the report of the Special Medical Board, AIIMS, Bhubaneswar declaring 2010 batch IPS officer Ashish Kumar Singh physically and mentally fit has prima facie found it to be a case of misrepresentation of facts on his part.

“….. the Commission, prima facie, found it a case of misrepresentation of facts on the part of  Shri Ashish Kumar Singh, IPS,” reads a letter issued by the ECI to the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Odisha on 6th June.

In the letter, the ECI has directed the CEO to forward the report of the Special Medical Board, AIIMS, Bhubaneswar to the Chief Secretary, Government of Odisha for appropriate necessary action against the officer as deemed fit.
