ECI Orders Transfer Of 2 IAS & 6 IPS Officers Of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has directed the Chief Secretary of Odisha to transfer two IAS and six IPS officers in various districts to non-election related post with immediate effect.

ECI Secretary Rakesh Kumar in a letter to Odisha Chief Secretary has asked for the transfer of Vineet Bhardwaj, DM & DEO, Cuttack; Parul Patawari, DM & DEO, Jagatsinghpur; Sudhansu Sekhar Mishra, SP, Angul; Saravana Vivek M, SP, Berhampur, (District Ganjam); Jugal Kishore Banoth, SP, Khurda; Mitrabhanu Mahapatra, SP, Rourkela; Dr Kanwar Vishal Singh, DCP Cuttack, and Ashish Kumar Singh, IG Central out to non-election related post with immediate effect.

The letter states that three eligible officers shall be provided in respect of each of the above mentioned posts.

The Chief Secretary has been asked to send compliance report to the ECI latest by 5.00PM today.
