ECI Orders Transfer Of Sujata Karthikeyan From Mission Shakti Dept

New Delhi: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Thursday ordered the transfer of Odisha IAS officer Sujata R Karthikeyan to a non-public dealing department after BJP lodged a complaint alleging misuse of public office.

She was transferred with immediate effect, national media reported.

Sujata, wife of most powerful BJD leader V K Pandian, held the post of commissioner cum secretary in the Department of Mission Shakti, Odisha.

Earlier in the day, a central team of BJP petitioned the poll body to remove her from her post for misusing government position.
