Koraput: Archana Joshi, General Manager, East Coast Railway (ECoR) conducted an annual inspection of the Koraput-Rayagada section of Waltair Division along with the Principal Officers from ECoR Headquarters today.
Anup Satpathy, Divisional Railway Manager, Waltair, and other Divisional Officers accompanied Joshi during the inspection.
The inspection started from Koraput station where the GM inspected the Station and Passenger amenities. RPF presented the guard of honour to the GM at Koraput.
Later, she has inspected Lakshmipur Road, Rayagada stations and suggested some improvement measures.
Joshi inaugurated Running Room and Combined Crew Lobby and Train Manager Lobby at Rayagada station.
A Green Gallery Park at Railway Colony at Lakshmipur Road was also inaugurated by her.
Speed trials were conducted in Damanjodi- Kakriguma and Singapur Road–Rayagada sections to assess the condition of the railway track.
The GM inspected the railway colony at Lakshmipur Road and interacted with the inhabitants of the railway quarters. She carefully listened to their grievances, requirements and ensured that the issue will be highlighted at the appropriate level.
Joshi also inspected the major bridge between Lakshimpur Road – Singaram and other minor Railway Bridges, Railway Tracks, Curves, Points & Crossing, Tunnels, Traction Substations, Booking offices, Waiting Rooms, Retiring Rooms, Railway Colonies, railway health units etc.
With priority on passenger amenities, Joshi focused on cleanliness at station premises.
During the inspection, Joshi advised officials to be more careful on the safety of train operations and the punctuality of trains.
She also inspected the Crew lobby, running rooms, PRS cum Booking offices apart from inspection of Accident Relief Train (ART) & Accident Relief Medical Van.
During the inspection, GM interacted with the media, representatives of various associations and discussed about providing more facilities to the passengers.
