ECoR To Regulate Trains Due To Safety Upgrade Works In Khurda Road Division

Bhubaneswar: In view of safety related modernisation works being undertaken in the Khurda Road Division of East Coast Railway, temporary changes in the operation of certain express and passenger trains have been notified during the month of June 2026. These measures are essential for facilitating infrastructure upgradation and ensuring safer and more efficient train operations in the future.

As part of the traffic and power block arrangements, some trains will be short terminated at Malatipatapur and corresponding return services will originate from Malatipatapur instead of Puri on specified dates.

The affected trains include:

  • Train No. 12146 Puri–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Superfast Express will originate from Malatipatpur on 9th and 16th June 2026 and Train No. 12145 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus–Puri Superfast Express will terminate at Malatipatpur on 7th and 14th June 2026.
  • Train No. 12993 Gandhidham–Puri Express will terminate at Malatipatpur on 5th and 12th June 2026 and Train No. 12994 Puri–Gandhidham Express will originate from Malatipatpur on 8th and 15th June 2026.
  • Train No. 15643 Puri–Kamakhya Express will originate from Malatipatpur on 6th, 13th and 20th June 2026 and Train No. 15644 Kamakhya–Puri Express will terminate at Malatipatpur on 4th, 11th and 18th June 2026.
  • Train No. 22973 Gandhidham–Puri Superfast Express will terminate at Malatipatpur on 3rd, 10th and 17th June 2026. Train No. 22974 Puri–Gandhidham Superfast Express will originate from Malatipatpur on 6th, 13th and 20th June 2026.
  • Train No. 17480 Tirupati–Puri Express will terminate at Malatipatpur on 3rd, 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 12th, 13th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 19th and 20th June 2026. Train No. 17479 Puri–Tirupati Express will originate from Malatipatpur on 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 15th, 17th, 18th and 19th June 2026.
  • Train No. 22201 Sealdah–Puri Duranto Express will terminate at Malatipatpur on 5th, 8th, 10th, 12th, 15th, 17th and 19th June 2026 and Train No. 22202 Puri–Sealdah Duranto Express will originate from Malatipatpur on 4th, 6th, 9th, 11th, 13th, 16th, 18th and 20th June 2026.
  • Train No. 20917 Indore–Puri Express Humsafar will terminate at Malatipatpur on 9th and 16th June 2026 and Train No. 20918 Puri–Indore Humsafar Express will originate from Malatipatpur on 4th, 11th and 18th June 2026.
  • Train No. 20471 Sri Ganganagar–Puri Express will terminate at Malatipatpur on 7th and 14th June 2026 and Train No. 20472 Puri–Sri Ganganagar Express will originate from Malatipatpur on 10th and 17th June 2026.
  • Train No. 15640 Kamakhya–Puri Express will terminate at Malatipatpur on 7th and 14th June 2026 and Train No. 15639 Puri–Kamakhya Express will originate from Malatipatpur on 9th and 16th June 2026.

Cancellation of Train Services

  • Train No. 68409/68410 Khurda Road–Puri–Khurda Road MEMU services will remain cancelled from 4th to 19th June 2026.

Short-Termination/Short-Origination of Trains

  • Train No. 18303/18304 Sambalpur–Puri–Sambalpur Intercity Express will be short-originated from and short-terminated at Sakhigopal from 4th to 20th June 2026.
  • Similarly, Train No. 68413/68414 Talcher–Puri–Talcher MEMU and Train No. 68441/68442 Jaleswar–Puri–Jaleswar MEMU will be short-originated from and short-terminated at Khurda Road station instead of Puri from 4th to 20th June 2026.
  • Train No. 18125 Rourkela–Puri Express will be short-terminated at Khurda Road station from 4th to 19th June 2026.
  • Train No. 18126 Puri–Rourkela Express will be short-originated from Khurda Road station from 5th to 20th June 2026.

Passengers are advised to take note of the schedule and plan their journeys accordingly. For updated train information, passengers may visit the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or use official railway enquiry services before commencing their journey.
