Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) will divert three long-distance trains for one month in view of the construction of an air concourse at the Cuttack Railway Station and modernisation works at the Cuttack railway station.

According to an official statement released by the ECoR, the trains that will be temporarily effected include the Coimbatore-Silchar Weekly Super-Fast Express arriving at Cuttack on Tuesdays, the Ernakulam-Patna bi-weekly Express arriving at Cuttack on Wednesdays and Thursdays and Bengaluru-Guwahati Tri-Weekly Express arriving at Cuttack on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The trains diverted temporarily will run via Barang-Naraj Marthapur-Kapilas Road instead of the scheduled route via Barang-Cuttack-Kapilas Road. While the trains will skip their scheduled stoppages at the Cuttack station, they will temporarily stop at Naraj Marthapur railway station from February 16 to March 17.

Khurda Road Division of East Coast Railway (ECoR) will provide free bus service to passengers of these temporarily diverted trains between Cuttack railway station and Naraj Marthapur railway station during the period.

Similarly, the passengers of the temporarily diverted trains who are scheduled to board or alight at Cuttack railway station will be provided with free bus service facilities by the ECoR at Naraj railway station and Cuttack railway station in both directions during the period.
