Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate of Police has made elaborate arrangements to ensure a smooth airshow by the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT) of the Indian Air Force (IAF) on Friday.
The traffic and parking arrangements are in place while a Special Tactical Unit will be deployed to attend to any eventuality, DCP Prateek Singh said.
Total 45 sections force, headed by 3 Additional DCPs and 9 ACPs will manage the affairs during the airshow. This apart, ODRAF, Fire Service teams will also be on the spot to attend to any untoward incident.
Attangements such has traffic rgulation and crowd management, for the programme will begin around 2.5 hours before the show, Singh said. A crown of 50,000 is expcted to turn up for the show.
Meanwhile, the SKAT of the Indian Air Force (IAF) aerobatics display team on Thursday conducted full dress rehearsal ahead of Suryakiran Airshow which will be held tomorrow over Kuakhai bank at Baliyatra ground here.
Reports stated, nine pilots will fly HAWK aircraft which is being made in India by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in the final show. The show will begin at 10 am and continue till 11 am.
Today, the IAF team carried out mapping and checked the ground features so that spectators can witness and enjoy it fully. The IAF personnel also took stock of the condition for the show.
