Angul: In a tragic incident, a young man killed his father over a family quarrel at Nuabhuin village under Bantala police limits in Angul district on Sunday.
The accused identified as Balaram Bhoi fled the spot after killing his father Biprabar. Villagers spotted the body covered with a cloth in the morning and informed police.
Balaram Bhoi and his father Biprabar lived in the village together. Balaram often abused his father over trivial issues and beat him.
On Saturday evening, Balaram quarrelled with his father and beat him severely with a stick killing him on the spot. He immediately fled the spot to escape police.
The dead body of his father was found lying inside the house. They immediately informed the police about the incident. The police reached the spot and started an investigation.
On the other hand, the police said that the accused is absconding.
He will be caught soon, police said.
