Bhubaneswar: A 50-year-old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances under the Putta Singh police station in Rayagada district, on Thursday.
According to reports, Daniel had gone to the nearby market to collect green chillies in the morning. However, he did not return home. His family members made a frantic search for him. After searching, they found his body lying in a pool of blood with deep cuts on his throat and legs.
The family members have filed a written complaint with the Putta Singh police station.
Based on the complaint, police have taken custody of the body and initiated an investigation into the matter. However, the motive behind the murder and the identity of the perpetrator(s) are yet to be ascertained.
