Bhubaneswar: The body of an elderly person who had gone missing on February 9, was recovered from a jungle in Nayagarh district, on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Gokul Pradhan (65), a resident of Gudupangi village under Nuagaon block in Nayagarh district.
According to villagers, the 65-year-old was guarding the jungle when he apparently came into contact with a live electric wire trap, likely set up by poachers which might have led to his death.
Till the last report came in, police are yet to visit the site and begin an investigation.
