Elderly Man From Bihar Run Over By Speeding Train Near Soro Station

Balasore: A tragic incident occurred near Soro railway station in Balasore when an elderly man, identified as Devan Sahani (75), was run over by a speeding train.

Sahani, a resident of Tezpur village in Sajipur district of Bihar, was travelling with his relatives on the Faluknama Express.

According to reports, the train stopped without a signal at Soro station, and Sahani got down. His relatives, who were searching for him, later discovered that he had met with an accident while trying to board the Coromandel Express from Balasore to Bhubaneswar.

The family rushed to the spot, identified Sahani’s body, and informed the RPF.

Personnel from the Soro Railway Protection Force (RPF) reached the spot, seized the body, and initiated an investigation into the incident
