White Tiger Cub Dies At Nandankanan Zoological Park

Bhubaneswar: A white tiger cub at Nandankanan Zoological Park (NZP) in Bhubaneswar passed away on Saturday night.

According to reports, born on June 7, the cub was the offspring of tigress Mousumi and tiger Rajesh. From birth, the cub had been unwell and was placed under special care at the zoo’s veterinary unit, separated from its mother to receive intensive treatment.

Despite efforts by the veterinary team, the cub succumbed to its illness on Saturday night.

Following this loss, the number of white tigers at Nandankanan has reduced to five, while the total tiger population at the park stands at 28.
