Elderly Man Goes Missing After Being Dragged By Croc In Kendrapara

Kendrapara: An elderly man went missing after being dragged by a crocodile in Kharsua river in Aul block of Kendrapara district on Monday.

The victim has been identified as Ajambar Nayak (58) of Icchhapur village under Aul police limits.

According to reports, like any other day Ajambar had taken his buffaloes to graze on the banks of  the river.

However, a crocodile which was lurking under the cover of grass reeds attacked Ajambar and pulled him into the river before others on the bank could do anything.

On being informed Fire Service and Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) personnel rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation.

Despite best of the efforts by Fire Service and ORAF personnel Ajambar remained untraceable till reports last came in.
