Electric Car Catches Fire On NH 16 Near Balugaon, Driver Left Unhurt

Puri: A Tata Nexon electric car caught fire near the Balugaon toll bridge on National Highway 16.

The vehicle was travelling from Berhampur to Bhubaneswar when the driver noticed smoke emanating from it. The driver immediately stopped the car and got out, and moments later, the vehicle burst into flames.

By the time fire brigade arrived at the scene and brought the fire under control, the car was completely damaged.

The driver, identified as Dhiren Swain, a doctor, was the sole occupant of the car and escaped unhurt.

The incident has been reported to the Balugaon police, and an investigation is underway.
