Elephant Attack Claims Two Lives In Sambalpur District

Bhubaneswar: Two persons died after being attacked by rogue elephant at Kutba village under Ushakothi Wildlife Sanctuary in Sambalpur district.

According to reports, the elephant attack happened when the victims were trying to protect their crops from the wild animals. The forest department has been notified, and efforts are underway to track and tranquilize the elephant.

This incident highlights the growing human-wildlife conflict in the region, with elephants frequently straying into human settlements and causing damage to crops and property.
