Dhenkanal: A elephant died after coming in contact with an electric trap laid for wild boar near Asarada village under Hindol Forest Range in Dhenkanal district.
The carcass of the elephant was discovered today. It is said to be a 25 to 30 year old male elephant. On getting information, forest officials reached the spot and initiated a probe.
In yet another incident, a person died after being attacked by an elephant at Maguberani village under Balimi police limits of the district.
