Bhubaneswar: An elephant from Nandankanan Zoological Park passed away at Chandaka-Dampada wildlife sanctuary on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar on Monday.
The elephant identified as Nanda passed away in the early hours of today. His post-mortem will be conducted today to ascertain the reason for his death.
Nanda was brought from Nandankanan to Chandaka’s Godibari in 2010. He was a Kumki used to control the menace of stray or wild elephants.
