Engineering Student Found Dead In Rayagada; Suicide Suspected

Bhubaneswar: A second-year engineering student of GIET University at Gunupur in Rayagada district was found dead in his hostel room with preliminary indications suggesting a possible suicide.

According to reports, the deceased student, Himansu Hota, a Biotechnology department student from Soro in Balasore district, was found hanging from the ceiling fan.

Upon being informed, Gunupur police have initiated an investigation into the incident and pressed a scientific team to unravel the mystery behind his death.

Issues related to a relationship with a girl may have led to the student’s alleged suicide. Further investigation is ongoing to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
