Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the festival season, the Commissionerate Police have intensified blocking and checking in various areas, particularly in locations suspected to be hideouts of criminals in the state capital to prevent crimes during the festive season.
As per reports, this effort is part of a broader initiative to apprehend criminals and troublemakers, guaranteeing a safe and joyful celebration for the residents of Bhubaneswar. By taking proactive measures, the Commissionerate Police hopes to prevent potential disturbances and maintain law and order during the festive period. Meanwhile, the Commissionerate Police has begun simultaneous raids at areas coming under the jurisdiction of Mancheswar, Khandagiri, Laxmisagar and Badagada Police limits.
So far, over 20 suspects have been detained by the raid teams during the raids, sources close to police revealed.
Not just the police, but even areas like Sainik School and Raghunathpur Info City are being covered with MVIs conducting blocking and checking, said sources.
