Ex-CDVO And Statistical Enumerator Held For Embezzling Govt Fund Worth Rs 18L

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths arrested two officials, Trilochan Dhal, former Chief District Veterinary Officer (CDVO) of Nuapada, and Ashok Kumar Dau, Statistical Enumerator in the office of CDVO Nuapada, for allegedly embezzling government fund.

According to a release issued by the Vigilance Directorate, Dhal and Dau misappropriated over Rs 18 lakh of government funds meant for the National Adaptation Funds for Climate Change (NAFCC). The funds were reportedly transferred to Dau’s personal account.

A case, Koraput Vigilance PS Case No.29/2025, has been registered against both officials under sections 13(2) r/w 13(1)(a) of the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018, and sections 409 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code.
