Ex-Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena Sworn In As Chairman Of OERC

Bhubaneswar: Former Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena was sworn in as the Chairman of the Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC) at a ceremony held at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday.

The oath of office was administered by Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, in the presence of key members of the OERC and other distinguished guests.

This appointment follows the official notification from the Odisha Energy Department on March 28, 2025. With this, the position of OERC Chairman, which had remained vacant since the retirement of Suresh Mohapatra, is now filled.

Jena, a 1989-batch IAS officer, served as the Chief Secretary of Odisha from February 26, 2023, until his retirement on June 30, 2024.
