Bhubaneswar: Former Minister and senior BJD leader Rabi Narayan Nanda has taken ill.
Nanda was initially admitted to District Headquarters Hospital at Jeypore in Koraput district. As his health condition deteriorated he was shifted to a private hospital at Visakhapatnam.
This was informed by senior BJD leader and Nanda’s wife Indira Nanda.
Nanda is a strong leader of south Odisha and has been elected thrice to the State Assembly from Jeypore assembly constituency in 2,000, 2004, and 2009.
In 2004 he was appointed as the Minister of State for Irrigation, while in 2009 he was appointed as the School & Mass Education Minister.
