Bhubaneswar: A road accident near Rajulkonda village under Chitrakonda block in Malkangiri district claimed the life of a 15-year-old girl and left three family members critically injured.
According to sources, Prakash Khil, a resident of Murulageda village in Gudem Mandal of Andhra Pradesh, was travelling with his family, including two daughters and two sons, to drop them off at a residential school in Narsingpatna, Andhra Pradesh. They were driving through Chitrakonda road when their car lost control and crashed into a tree near Rajulkonda village, close to Chitrakonda.
All of them were rushed to Chitrakonda Community Health Center where Prakash’s 15-year-old daughter Raso Khil was pronounced dead. Her siblings, Srinu Khil (14), Ramudu Khil (12), and Elisa Bethu (8), are undergoing treatment at the Community Health Centre.
The driver fled the scene, and police have launched an investigation. Chitrakonda police have registered a case and launched a manhunt for the driver.
