Bhubaneswar: A young farmer from Sumundi village under Marthapur panchayat under Balipatna police limits, lost his life due to electrocution on Thursday.

The incident occurred when Bulu came into contact with a live electric wire he had installed around his farm to protect his crops from theft.

According to sources, Bulu had been facing frequent theft of his crops (bananas) and had taken measures to secure his farm by installing a GI wire around it and connecting it to a power line. However, in a tragic turn of events, Bulu accidentally came into contact with the live wire when he had gone to his farm to attend nature’s call on early Thursday morning, resulting in his death.
