Anugola: A farmer was killed and three others, including a minor girl, were injured after lightning struck an agricultural field at Nathapasi village under Palalahada police limits in Anugola district on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Matae Marij.
According to reports, around 12 men and women were working in the agricultural field when lightning suddenly struck the area. Matae was reportedly struck by lightning and died on the spot.
Two other persons working in the field also sustained serious injuries in the incident. A minor girl, who was standing near the field and holding an umbrella, was also injured in the lightning strike.
Following the incident, the injured persons were rushed to a nearby hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. Their condition is reported to be serious.
