Farmer Missing After Being Swept Away In Ghodahada River; Search Ops Underway

Bhubaneswar: A farmer went missing after being swept away by the strong currents of the Ghodahada River under Digapahandi block in Ganjam district.

The incident occurred when the farmer, identified as Arakhita Pradhan from Nuagada village under Kaithikhandi panchayat, was crossing the river to reach his land.

According to reports, Pradhan lost his footing while crossing the river and was swept away by the strong currents. A search operation was immediately launched by the fire brigade officials. Till the last report came in, search operation was still underway to locate the missing farmer.

The incident has sent shockwaves in the local community, with villagers expressing concern over the need for proper infrastructure to prevent such incidents in the future.
