Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident, one person died, and another was critically injured after a tractor overturned near Motorgadia village, under the jurisdiction of Soso police in Anandapur, Keonjhar district, on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Bijay Kumar Naik and the person who sustained critical injuries was identified as Khirodh Kumar Naik, both from Motorgadia village in Keonjhar.
According to reports, on Tuesday late at night, Bijay and his nephew Khirodh were returning home after completing their chores in the farming field when their tractor overturned, trapping them underneath.
On learning about the incident, locals rushed them to the Sub-Divisional Hospital in Anandapur, where doctors pronounced Bijay dead.
Meanwhile, the critically injured Khirod was shifted to SCB Hospital in Cuttack for advanced treatment.
The police have started an investigation into the matter.
