Keonjhar: In a shocking incident, a man and his son were killed when a truck collided with their bike on National Highway No. 20 near Bardeda, under Ghatgaan Police Station, Keonjhar. A series of accidents occurred near Bardeda, resulting in the tragic death of the father-son duo.
The deceased have been identified as Dilip Bhattacharya and his son Pritam Bhattacharya, residents of Acharpada area in Bhadrak district.
At the time of the accident, both father and son were travelling on a bike when the truck hit them from behind near Bardeda. Following the collision, a car approaching from behind crashed into the truck, sustaining damage.
The truck responsible for the accident has been seized by the authorities. Police arrived at the scene, taken possession of the bodies, and initiated an investigation. The truck driver fled the scene immediately after the accident, while locals detained the car.
