Bhubaneswar: The residents of Bhubaneswar went on a drinking spree in the last seven days of 2025, consuming liquor worth Rs 32 crore.
The Excise Department reported that city residents drank 4 lakh litres of liquor, including 2.5 lakh litres of foreign liquor and 1.5 lakh litres of country liquor from X-mass to New Year day.
Beer sales were also high, with 1.78 lakh litres consumed. The drinking frenzy was seen in clubs, pubs, and off-street shops, with people enjoying the festive season
