Bhubaneswar: A Class IX student has become center of attraction after fighting off a bear attack in Balasore district.
The incident occurred at Podashula village under Nilgiri police station.
According to reports, when Prabhat was on his way home from a nearby village, he came face-to-face with two bears that had entered the village in search of food and were causing chaos.
Prabhat, who was caught unaware, showed remarkable bravery and fought back against the bears, eventually escaping with his life. He was subsequently to Nilgiri Hospital with severe injuries.
Prabhat’s courage has been widely praised by everyone, drawing comparisons to a recent incident in Cuttack’s Jagatpur area where a youth killed a tiger that attacked him.
