Finance Employee Looted At Gunpoint In Balasore

Balasore: A finance employee was robbed at gunpoint by three unidentified men near Nandapur Chhak on Soro-Kupari Road on Friday.

According to sources, Biswanath Raut originally hails from Kendrapara district and has been working with Jio Finance in Khaira for two years.

The incident occurred when Raut, who resides in Tudigadia area in Balasore, was returning to his office in Khaira after collecting money from various locations for Jio Finance Company. The robbers, armed with guns and sharp weapons, snatched the collected amount and decamped.

Upon being informed, Khaira AIC Mousumi Mohanty reached the spot and began investigating.

Raut said, “I was returning to the office after collecting money when three persons came in a pulsar bike and waylaid me and used foul language against me without any reason. They hit me and pushed me to the ground. They threatened me at gunpoint before decamping with Rs 90,000.”
