Puri: Hardly hours after the major fire at the Laxmi Market Complex here was doused after 36 hours of struggle, another fire has broken out at the handloom showroom in Niladri Complex on the Grand Road (Bada Danda).
An electric short circuit caused the fire in the switch room of the handloom showroom, reports said. The showroom is located near Laxmi Market Complex where a fire had broken out at around 8 PM on Wednesday.
Puri SP Kanwar Vishal Singh has advised people not to panic. Singh has told that an electric short circuit caused the fire. He said that it was a minor fire and fire service personnel reached the spot after getting a call on 112.
He said that everything was alright within 5-10 minutes and advised people not to believe in rumours.
