Balasore: A massive fire broke out at a cosmetics store located on Cinema College Road in Balasore town late at night.
According to reports, the fire is suspected to have been caused by an electrical short circuit in the four-storey building where the store and a tailoring shop are situated.
Despite the prompt response of the fire department, the fire could not be completely extinguished due to the presence of flammable materials in the store. The estimated loss is reported to be around Rs 7-8 crores.
Till the last report came in, the fire department has deployed multiple tenders to control the blaze. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
