Bargarh: A fire broke out on Monday afternoon at the Jain Poly Fab Sack Factory located at Bardol on the outskirts of Bargarh town, triggering panic in the area.
Large quantities of materials stored inside the factory were destroyed as flames rapidly spread through the premises, officials said.
Thick plumes of smoke engulfed the surrounding area, prompting concerns among local residents. On receiving information, fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and launched firefighting operations to control the blaze. Efforts were continuing at the time of filing this report.
The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. No reports of casualties have been received so far. Authorities said a detailed assessment of the damage will be carried out once the fire is fully doused.
