Fire Services Personnel Fish Out Youth’s Body From Canal On Bhubaneswar Outskirts

Bhubaneswar: Fire Services personnel on Friday fished out a youth’s body from a canal in the Hanspal area on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar. It is suspected that the youth drowned in the canal while bathing.

The deceased has been identified as Soumya Ranjan Das, a resident of Jagatsinghpur district in Odisha.

According to reports, Soumya drowned while bathing in the canal on Thursday. On being informed, Fire Services personnel rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation to trace him. His body was recovered today.

Local police arrived at the spot and seized the body and sent it for post-mortem.

An investigation has been into the matter to ascertain the exact reason behind the youth’s death.
