First Merit List Out For 3-Year LLB Courses In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Higher Education Department on Monday released the first selection merit list for admission into three-year LLB courses for the 2025–26 academic session in Odisha.

A total of 2,207 applications were received for just 360 seats available across three premier institutions—University Law College, Bhubaneswar; Madhusudan Law University, Cuttack; and Lingaraj Law College, Berhampur.

The Institution wise Cut-off Marks are as follows:

  • University Law College, Bhubaneswar – 82.23%
  • Madhusudan Law University, Cuttack – 79.42%
  • Lingaraj Law College, Berhampur – 75.13%

According to the official notification, 360 students—206 male and 154 female—have been shortlisted in the first merit list. Admissions for selected candidates will be held from July 22 to July 24.

Candidates opting for the “Freeze” option must pay the admission fees online, download the intimation letter, and report to the allotted institution within the stipulated dates (10:00 am to 5:00 pm).

Those selecting the “Slide” option are also required to pay the admission fees online but are not required to report immediately, as they await reallocation in subsequent selection rounds.
