Fishermen Advised To Stay Ashore Due To Squally Weather

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has advised fishermen not to venture into sea on September 2 and 3, due to adverse weather conditions.

According to IMD, the sea condition is expected to be rough to very rough during this period, with winds reaching 40-50 kmph, gusting to 60 kmph.

Meanwhile, a low-pressure area has formed over the Northwest Bay of Bengal, which is expected to intensify and move west-northwestwards across Odisha in the next 24 hours, potentially bringing heavy to very heavy rainfall. The system is likely to cause significant disruptions, and residents are advised to take necessary precautions and stay updated with the latest weather forecasts.
