Bhadrak: The Bhadrak District Magistrate has ordered the suspension of academic and non-academic activities in schools across five blocks of the district on September 29 due to incessant rainfall, the prevailing flood situation, and ongoing restoration work.
According to a notification issued by the office of the Collector and District Magistrate, a total of 306 schools in Dhamnagar, Bhadrak, Chandbali, Tihidi, and Basudevpur blocks will remain closed today. The decision has been taken keeping the safety of students in mind. The order comes into force with immediate effect.
District authorities have also directed all school authorities to ensure that water sources in schools are properly sanitised before they are used again.
