Balangir: A 59-year-old forest department officer was found dead inside his government-allotted residence in Odisha’s Balangir district on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Byasadev Sahu, who was posted as Forester in Balangir Forest Range.
As per reports, colleagues found his body inside the staff quarters situated behind the Range Office on Sunday evening and alerted the police. Police reached the spot and have started an inquiry into the matter. However, the exact reason behind his death is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, the family members of the deceased have alleged work pressure from senior officials and demanded a thorough probe into the incident.
