Bhubaneswar: Former Assistant General Manager (PR) of NALCO, Santosh Kumar Mohanty, passed away at his Bhubaneswar-based residence last night. He was 70.

Mohanty had been undergoing treatment for liver and kidney issues at KIIMS Hospital in Bhubaneswar. A soft-spoken and valued member of NALCO’s PR department, Mohanty is survived by his two married daughters.

His body will be taken to Puri Swargadwar for cremation after relatives arrive in Bhubaneswar.

A pall of gloom has descended upon NALCO’s Bhubaneswar office and Mohanty’s friends and family after his death news spread like wildfire. His soft-spoken nature and dedication to PR will be deeply missed.
