Bhubaneswar: With the party-hopping exercise at its peak ahead of the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Odisha, former Odisha minister Ganeswar Behera resigned from the primary membership of the Congress on Tuesday.
Behera had sent his resignation letter to Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Sarat Patnaik. At the same time, he thanked the grand old party for allowing him to serve the people of Odisha.
Speculations are rife that Behera may join the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) anytime soon.
