Four Arrested For House Burglary In Jeypore, Cash & Stolen Valuables Recovered

Jeypore: The Jeypore Town police have arrested four individuals, including two receivers of stolen goods, in connection with a burglary at the residence of one Balakrishna Adhikari in VIP Lane at Adarsha Nagar, which took place on the night of October 15.

The accused have been identified as K Suman (25) from Prasad Rao Peta and Raju Nayak (22) from Sunari Sahi, both responsible for the burglary. The receivers of the stolen goods, identified as S Venkatesh (33) and M Shiva (45), were also arrested.

Addressing the media, Jeypore SDPO Ankit Verma informed, “We have arrested K Suman and Raju Nayak for the burglary, as well as S Venkatesh and M Shiva, who had received the stolen goods. We have recovered Rs 1 lakh in cash, 54.083 grams of melted gold, one gold ring, four silver plates, two silver tumblers, two silver bowls, four silver anklets, three silver toe rings, and a silver box, along with a gas cylinder and other tools used to melt precious metals from their possession.”

The SDPO further confirmed that the accused will be produced in court later today.
